Health & Safety

We go with you.

Studying abroad means getting used to new places, sometimes several in one program. Summit staff travel and stay with the group as you move from city to city. We coordinate housing and travel between program cities, arrange health insurance for every student, and provide on-site support day and night.

Health insurance and medical preparation

Health insurance is included in the program fee for every student, for the full duration of their Summit program in Europe or Brazil.

Before departure, each student completes a confidential medical questionnaire. This helps our team prepare for individual health needs during the program.

Orientation before departure and on arrival

Students receive health and safety orientation before departure and again on arrival. There’s plenty to look forward to, and time to talk through the practical questions that come with living and studying abroad.

Pre-departure guidance covers travel days, communication, cultural differences, group expectations, and your responsibilities as a participant. For passport and entry requirements, start with our Visa Information guide.

Summit staff are with the group

Our staff travel and stay with students throughout the program. Students can reach the on-site team day or night for support.

The team helps with travel logistics and everyday questions as the group settles into each city. You have people to turn to who are making the journey with you.

Help getting medical care

If a student needs medical attention, Summit staff help arrange care and accompany the student when needed.

Feeling unwell in an unfamiliar place can be unsettling. Tell the on-site team so we can help you get care.

A place to settle in each city

Housing is included during the program. Summit selects shared student, university, or apartment-style accommodation with safety, comfort, and access to classes and activities in mind.

We provide location, rooming, and commute details before the program, so you can picture where you’ll be staying and how you’ll get around.

Classmates become familiar faces

The people in your classes are also the people you’ll see on visits and travel days. Over shared meals, conversations, and time between activities, you get to know one another.

Arriving in another city feels different when there are already people you know.
