Cancellation and refunds

If your plans change and you need to withdraw from a Summit program, let us know in writing. Your refund depends on how far in advance we receive your request.

How to withdraw

Email director@summitglobaleducation.com with your full name, program, and program start date. Clearly state that you wish to withdraw.

We use the date Summit receives your written request to determine the refund. The time windows below are measured in calendar days before your Summit program begins.

Refunds for program payments

Refund amounts based on when Summit receives your withdrawal request
Request received Refund
More than 90 days before the program begins 100% of program payments received
60–90 days before the program begins 50% of program payments received
Fewer than 60 days before the program begins No refund

The 60–90-day window includes both the 60th and 90th day before your selected session starts. Under the ordinary withdrawal policy, requests received on or after the start date are not eligible for a refund.

These percentages apply to the program payments Summit has received, including your $100 confirmation deposit and any installments. Applications are free; there is no application fee to deduct.

When refunds are processed

Summit acknowledges ordinary withdrawal requests within two business days and initiates undisputed refunds within 14 calendar days of receiving the request. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to complete the refund.

A request for additional compassionate consideration does not delay the ordinary refund already owed. If you receive a full program-fee refund, your own scholarship refund already received counts toward payments returned to you.

If Summit cancels before your session starts

If Summit cancels your program before your session starts for any reason, we refund all program payments received, including your deposit. Another program or future credit may be offered as a choice; you can choose the refund.

This commitment covers payments made to Summit for the program. It does not promise reimbursement for flights or other travel you purchase independently.

Illness or visa refusal

The ordinary withdrawal policy also applies to illness and visa refusal. Summit may consider additional flexibility for serious circumstances individually; an additional refund or deferral is not automatic.

Contact Summit to discuss your circumstances and how to provide any necessary documentation securely. Do not send medical records in an ordinary email or WhatsApp message. Included program health insurance does not establish trip-cancellation coverage.

Itinerary changes and interrupted programs

Travel or safety conditions may require reasonable changes to a route or city. Summit communicates changes and seeks to preserve the program’s academic purpose and comparable value. A city substitution alone does not automatically entitle you to a full refund.

If a program is interrupted after it starts because of a failure within Summit’s control, we refund the fairly allocated value of services not delivered. For unavoidable events outside Summit’s control, we return attributable unspent funds and supplier recoveries for undelivered services, with an itemized explanation.

For exceptional or interrupted-program cases, Summit provides an initial written accounting within 14 calendar days, pays undisputed amounts, and gives a follow-up date for unresolved recoveries. Any alternative credit or transfer is a choice.
