Get to know Summit Global Education.

Since 2011, Summit Global Education has developed study abroad programs in partnership with universities. Our faculty-led programs in Europe and Brazil combine college coursework with professional and cultural visits across several cities.

How the academic program works

Business and innovation are central to Summit’s academic offering. Students study how organizations begin, grow, adapt, and make decisions in different economic and cultural settings. Course options also include communication, European studies, Portuguese, and Brazilian culture.

Classes, professional and cultural visits, discussions, and assignments continue as students move between program cities. Students prepare questions for visits and use examples from the places they explore in their academic work.

Programs offer 3 or 6 U.S. semester credits, depending on the session and course selection. Course pages include descriptions, credit values, and preliminary syllabi. Program pages list dates, routes, and the course choices available in each session.

Academic partners and official transcripts

Official transcripts are issued directly by the university associated with the student’s Summit program:

The student’s home institution determines how the credits apply to their degree. Summit provides course materials to support that review.

Housing and transportation

Shared housing is included during the program. Summit selects accommodation with safety, comfort, and access to classes and activities in mind. Students receive location, rooming, and commute details before departure.

Summit staff travel and stay with the group and coordinate transportation between program cities. International airfare is separate from the program fee.

Health and student support

Students complete a confidential medical questionnaire and receive health and safety orientation before departure and on arrival. Health insurance is included in the program fee for every student, for the full duration of their Summit program in Europe or Brazil.

The on-site staff team is available day and night. Staff help arrange medical care and accompany students when needed.

Scholarships and financial arrangements

Summit’s affordability options include early-commitment, student referral, affiliated-university, and limited student assistantship scholarships, along with installment payment schedules. Availability and terms depend on the program and enrollment cycle.

Students may also explore home-university or outside financial aid. The funding institution determines whether its aid can be used for a Summit program. Summit provides program and cost documents to support that process.
